Take I-495, the Capital Beltway, to exit 7A south. This will be Branch Avenue (Route 5). Route 5 will merge with US-301 just north of Waldorf, Maryland. Continue on US-301, passing through Waldorf and LaPlata. Six miles south of LaPlata, turn right onto Popes Creek Road, the first road after mile-marker 9. Continue for one mile to the entrance to Loyola Retreat House on the right.
Directions from Baltimore area: Follow I-95 south or MD 295 south to DC Beltway I-495 south/I-95 south. Two lanes exit #7A-7B MD-5 south, toward Waldorf. Follow MD-5 south 31 miles, continue onto US-301 south. Keep left, stay on on US-301 south 17 miles (through Waldorf and LaPlata), to Popes Creek Road., the first right after mile-marker 9. Continue one mile to entrance of Loyola Retreat House on right. Travel time is 1.5 hours, but allow up to 2 hours.
Directions from Richmond and points south: Take I-95 north towards Washington. After passing King’s Dominion, exit right onto Route 207. Route 207 will merge with US-301 north. Continue on US-301 north, crossing the Potomac River Bridge. After mile marker 8, turn left onto Pope Creek Road and proceed one mile to the entrance to Loyola Retreat House on the right.
